Our Process
Our Process involves several important steps to ensure a high-quality and long-lasting finish. The process typically includes the following steps:

Preparation: The first step is to properly prepare the wood surface for painting or staining. This may involve cleaning and sanding the surface to remove dirt, grime, and other debris, as well as repairing any cracks or damages to the wood.

Painting/Staining: Once the surface is properly prepared, the painting or staining process can begin. The paint or stain is carefully applied to the surface, either by brush, roller, or sprayer, in a smooth and even layer.

Finishing: After the paint or stain has dried, a final coat of sealant or protective finish is applied to help protect the wood from weather, moisture, and other environmental factors.

Clean up: After the final coat has dried, the painting and staining company will clean up the work area and remove any debris.

This process is followed to provide a high-quality and long-lasting finish for our clients. We also offer additional services such as pressure washing, deck restoration, and wood repair, to help maintain the beauty and functionality of your wood surfaces.
Preparation
We need two weekends - One to pressure wash and clean and the other to apply the stain.

Pressure washing with a 2000 PSI washer. We avoid using anything over 2000 PSI because it can damage the wood.
Painting / Staining
We use a Titan airless sprayer to apply a coat. After about an hour we would return and use brushes to apply stain to areas that may be tricky (where deck meets house, brick, or tight spots).
Finishing
After the paint or stain has dried, a final coat of sealant or protective finish is applied to help protect the wood from weather, moisture, and other environmental factors.
Cleanup
After the final coat has dried, the painting and staining company will clean up the work area and remove any debris.

Doing It The Right Way: We take pride in doing things the right way, never cutting corners. Every sanding job we undertake is meticulous and detail-oriented. Unlike many restoration companies that rely on heavy-duty pressure washers and belt sanders, we carefully sand each board individually. Why? Because our priority is preserving the integrity of the wood rather than compromising it. Improper pressure washing can lift wood fibers, and belt sanders often fail to remove all traces of old stain or wood-treated oils. Our approach ensures a thorough, effective restoration—one you can see firsthand in the craftsmanship and effort we put into every project.

Warranty: We do not provide a warranty on the quality or durability of the stain products used in our services. However, we guarantee the quality of our sanding process, ensuring proper surface preparation. Our prep work is designed to prevent peeling and fading for up to three months after completion. Beyond this period, we do not offer any warranty or extended coverage. While we use high-quality stain products, their long-term durability is not covered under any warranty by Rewind Paint and Stain. Normal wear and tear, weather exposure, and improper maintenance may affect the stain's longevity. As such, we do not assume liability for any damages or issues arising beyond the three-month guarantee on prep work. Our most frequently used stains are C2Guard and OsmoDeckingOil, and we strongly encourage customers to review and research these brands before booking with us. All services and products are provided as-is, and customers are responsible for understanding the characteristics and expected performance of the stains used.
